About this role
Designs and enhances reporting data pipelines and reporting solutions that support operational, risk, and compliance analytics. The role focuses on building reporting datasets, data marts, automating data validation, and improving data quality using SQL, Python, and Tableau.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reporting datasets, views, and data marts
- Use Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) and Python for data analysis, transformations, and automation
- Ingest data via direct access, file transfers, APIs, or database connections
- Validate data completeness/accuracy and remediate data quality issues
- Develop repeatable validation/reconciliation processes and document lineage for reporting consistency
Technical Overview
Hands-on data engineering for reporting: creates datasets/views/data marts from disparate sources using SQL Server and Python. Works across Linux and Windows, performs data completeness/accuracy validation, automates reconciliation, and documents data lineage/transformations; uses Tableau for operational/risk/audit/compliance reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level to early-career data engineer who has built reporting datasets, views, and data marts for operational, risk, and compliance reporting. They have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) and Python, can automate data validation/reconciliation, and use Tableau to deliver dashboards and reporting outputs across Linux and Windows environments.
