About this role
This Data Analyst, Retention role helps build and optimize subscription retention and member loyalty. You will lead analysis and experiment design across the customer lifecycle, working closely with product, marketing, CX, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive data-driven optimization of the member experience
- Design hypotheses and experiments with test design & measurement
- Serve as go-to data resource for ad hoc analysis and metric definition
- Build analytical processes to improve member experience
- Analyze retention/churn and LTV using SQL and modeling
Technical Overview
The role focuses on data-driven experimentation and measurement using SQL and Excel, applied statistics, and modeling. You will pull and join data from platforms and production databases including Segment, GA, MixPanel, Looker, and Snowflake to define metrics and improve retention/churn and LTV.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an analytics professional with 2+ years of experience in data analytics and retention/lifecycle analytics, ideally in subscription retention for a high-growth consumer business. They are strong in SQL and Excel, can design experiments with test design & measurement, and can use multivariate analysis and modeling to improve retention/churn and LTV. They are comfortable working cross-functionally and using tools like Segment, MixPanel, Looker, and Snowflake to drive decision-making.
