About this role

Data Center Chief Engineer responsible for hands-on electrical/mechanical operation, training, and optimization of mission-critical facilities within AWS GovCloud-adjacent contexts.

Key Responsibilities

Act as primary escalation point for facilities issues
Oversee operation and management of critical systems
Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
Create and deploy new standard practices
Coordinate with FM and vendors

Technical Overview

Hands-on experience with critical power and cooling infrastructure (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers), building monitoring, and safety/compliance programs; capable of leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with vendor partners.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced data center chief engineer with 3+ years in electrical/mechanical roles and 4+ years of leadership, capable of managing mission-critical facilities and driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement within a government-region context.
