Controls Technician for Service & Construction of Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Monitoring System in AWS data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- field work at data center sites; point-to-point checkouts; diagnostics; network configurations; calibration of sensors; safety adherence
Technical Overview
Field-focused role involving installation, troubleshooting, and startup of BMS/EPMS systems; read electrical schematics; verify field devices; supervise low voltage contractors.
Ideal Candidate
An entry-level controls technician with a hands-on background in electrical/mechanical work in data-center or mission-critical facilities. They should be able to read electrical schematics, troubleshoot field devices, and work safely on site.
Must-Have Skills
High school or equivalent diploma1+ years of electrical or mechanicalor 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience1+ years of technical work with computer systems and technology componentsor 2+ years of technical work with computer systems and technology components experienceTechnical (Military/ Trade School) School diploma or Associate degree with one year experience related to industrial instrumentation/controls or equivalent electrical or mechanical operations experience.Basic understanding of Industrial controls systemcontrollersand programming including troubleshooting of industrial controls analogdiscrete and networked input/output field signals.
Nice-to-Have Skills
International Society of Automation (ISA) Certified Controls System Technician (CCST) Level I or higher certification.Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling.
