About this role
You will deploy, service, and upgrade Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) across Amazon data centers. The role includes installation, testing, troubleshooting, provisioning, commissioning support, documentation, and mentoring facilities teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, service, and upgrade BMS and EPMS systems across multiple data centers.
- Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and startup for BMS/EPMS equipment and controls systems.
- Provision servers, controllers, industrial PCs, and network configurations; conduct communication testing between devices.
- Read electrical schematics and control panel drawings; support close loop controls and sensor scaling concepts.
- Perform commissioning support, systems-level testing, root cause analysis, and maintain accurate red-lined drawings and documentation.
Technical Overview
The technical scope is building automation and electrical power monitoring systems for data centers. You will work with field sensors, controllers, wiring, networking, and programming; perform point-to-point checkouts; execute provisioning and communication testing; read electrical schematics/control panel drawings; and support commissioning with systems-level testing and root cause analysis.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Controls Technician with hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining data center building automation systems, specifically Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS). They can read electrical schematics and control panel drawings, perform commissioning and systems-level testing support, and execute provisioning and communication testing for controllers and industrial PCs. They also demonstrate strong documentation, change management, and root cause analysis skills while mentoring facilities teammates.
