About this role
Data Center Operations Systems Engineer (Los Angeles, CA) ensures proper racking, labeling, cabling, and configuration of servers, storage, and networking in the data center, troubleshoots hardware/software issues, and documents layouts in DCIM while supporting large-scale deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure new server, storage and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabling, and configured
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in GPU and Networking systems
- Document and update data center layout and network topology in DCIM software
- Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through lifecycle
- Partner with HW Support to resolve data center hardware incidents and disseminate solutions
Technical Overview
Hands-on with critical infrastructure systems including DCIM, structured cabling, power distribution, environmental monitoring, and fiber testing; experience with Infiniband, Linux administration, and ticketing systems (JIRA, Zendesk); willing to travel for new data center bring-ups.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced data center operations engineer with hands-on DCIM, fiber testing, and high-end GPU infrastructure knowledge, plus Linux administration and ticketing experience, capable of managing large-scale deployments onsite.
