About this role
You will work as a Data Center Technician supporting AWS Infrastructure Services by installing server racks, performing hardware break-fix, diagnosing network issues, and carrying out routine repairs. The role includes on-call coverage and scheduled maintenance/change management activities in a 24/7 industrial data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix
- Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents impacting service availability
- Carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs
- Participate in on-call rotation, scheduled maintenance, and change management
- Document findings and contribute to process improvement; help train and onboard new team members
Technical Overview
The technical scope is hands-on data center operations including server rack installation, hardware and network diagnostics, operational incident response, and routine network/server/operating system repairs. You will also contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on operational issue analysis.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level data center technician comfortable with hands-on hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and responding to operational incidents. They can participate in an on-call rotation, support 24/7 operations, and maintain strong documentation and process improvement habits in an industrial data center environment.
