About this role
ExxonMobil is hiring a Data Engineer - Advanced to design, implement, and maintain complex data pipelines and architectures. The role centers on ensuring data quality, optimizing data delivery, automating manual processes, and supporting analytics and machine learning needs across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and document physical data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams
- Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines
- Ensure data quality and optimize data delivery while automating manual processes
- Manage and secure structured and unstructured data flows from multiple sources
- Integrate DevOps and enterprise architecture standards for source code management and project tracking
Technical Overview
You will develop and document physical data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams, then build large-scale batch and real-time (streaming) pipelines. The scope includes secure handling of structured and unstructured data, integrating standards for DevOps and enterprise architecture, and partnering with data scientists for machine learning datasets.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an advanced data engineer experienced designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data pipelines and architectures with a strong focus on data quality. They can build both large-scale batch and real-time/streaming pipelines, define physical data models and data dictionaries, and ensure secure handling of structured and unstructured data.
