About this role
Travelers is seeking a Data Engineer II to help build and transform its enterprise analytics ecosystem. The role focuses on designing and operationalizing data pipelines for warehousing and analytics, including testing data movement and transformations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operationalize complex data solutions
- Design complex data solutions and recommend data cleansing/quality improvements
- Apply data governance, data security, and data quality competencies
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components
- Perform analysis and resolve complex defects and incidents
Technical Overview
You will work on data pipelines and multi-layer data architectures with strong Snowflake expertise, including views and streams. The stack includes SQL and dbt for transformation and schema management, with responsibilities spanning data governance, data security, and data quality to support AI/ML and business intelligence use cases.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Data Engineer II with 8+ years of experience building data pipelines and designing multi-layer data architectures for data warehousing and data consumption. They have hands-on Snowflake expertise (views and streams) and strong SQL plus dbt experience for data transformation and schema management.
