About this role
Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics. Translate requirements into scalable, operable solutions, support reporting and analysis, and mentor junior data engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and operate large-scale data structures for BI analytics
- Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT, SQL, Oracle, and OLAP
- Provide OBIEE online reporting and analysis against multi-dimensional datasets
- Gather requirements and translate into robust scalable data architecture solutions
- Produce comprehensive dataset documentation and mentor junior data engineers
Technical Overview
The role focuses on data engineering for BI, using data modeling, ETL/ELT, SQL, Oracle, and OLAP. It includes OBIEE-based reporting, metadata/dataset documentation, and evaluating dataset implementations and tooling choices.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Data Engineer with a Master's degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics. They are strong in ETL/ELT, SQL, Oracle, and OLAP technologies, and have built reporting/analysis solutions using OBIEE while producing high-quality metadata and dataset documentation.
