Okta is seeking a Data Engineering Manager in Bengaluru to lead a data engineering team, drive scalable data pipelines, and tie data initiatives to business impact. This role combines hands-on technical guidance with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and coach data engineers; Provide technical guidance and design; Participate in architectural reviews; Manage project timelines and cross-functional collaboration; Own global support process and on-call rotation

Technical Overview

Role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure, optimizing the SDLC, participating in architectural reviews, and acting as a hands-on contributor when needed. Collaboration with product management and analytics is key.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced data engineering leader with 8+ years in data engineering/software development and 2+ years of people management, capable of leading a 4+ person team, delivering scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. They should align data initiatives with business impact and drive cross-functional collaboration across product, analytics, and operations.
