About this role
Senior Data Governance Consultant supporting enterprise Data Governance across Truist’s AI & Data Organization. Responsible for defining an operating model and policies, partnering with architecture and business units to implement data governance capabilities, and ensuring regulatory and risk compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Authorized Provisioning Point program
- Draft and maintain data policies and standards
- Define data ownership and stewardship operating model
- Implement data governance capabilities across assets
- Track metrics and regulatory compliance
Technical Overview
Focus areas include enterprise data management, data domain modeling, data stewardship/ownership, and governance platforms (Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, Solidatus) with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP). Includes metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging, plus analytics tooling like Power BI/Tableau for dashboards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior data governance professional with 8+ years of experience in technology and data governance, familiar with enterprise data management programs and data protection regulations. They should have hands-on experience with governance platforms like Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, and Solidatus, plus cloud data ecosystems and strong cross-functional communication.
