Data Governance Specialist - Clearance Required

Support the U.S. Army Holistic Health & Fitness (H2F) initiative by defining, implementing, and enforcing data governance practices for data used within H2FMS. You will coordinate with technical and research teams to maintain governed data assets, documentation, metadata, and data quality.

• Support development and implementation of data governance practices across H2FMS analytics, research, and reporting.
• Define data ownership, stewardship roles, and governance workflows.
• Create and maintain data definitions, data dictionaries, metadata, and reference standards.
• Identify and address data quality issues (completeness, consistency, usability).
• Support data lifecycle governance including data onboarding, updates, retention, and archival.

Role focuses on governance enablement for the Holistic Health and Fitness Management System (H2FMS), including data definitions, data dictionaries, metadata and reference standards, plus data quality and data lifecycle governance (onboarding, updates, retention, archival). Works closely with data engineering, analytics, and software teams to ensure consistent, traceable, well-documented analytics and research data.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data governance professional who can operationalize data governance practices for analytics, research, and reporting systems. They have strong knowledge of metadata, data dictionaries, data definitions, data quality, and end-to-end data lifecycle governance, and they communicate effectively across technical and scientific stakeholders.
