About this role
Data Modeler to join Bank of New York Mellon's Finance Data Governance team, responsible for designing and evolving data models, embedding standards and lineage into pipelines, and enabling accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve data models across finance domains
- Implement models across data warehouses/lakehouses
- Define data architecture standards
- Embed data lineage and quality controls
- Deliver ERDs, data contracts, and metadata catalogs
Technical Overview
Focus on finance data modeling within data warehouses/lakehouses; implement ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL and tools like dbt, Spark, and Informatica; governance tooling for lineage and metadata catalogs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level data modeler with 3-7+ years of data architecture experience, strong in data governance and data lineage, and proficient with tools like dbt, Spark, Informatica, and governance platforms (Collibra/Alation/Purview). Financial services domain experience is preferred.
