Data Science Intern at StreetLight Data (San Francisco) contributing to data quality for vehicular counter data and modelling across mobility analytics; collaborates with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate outliers and data anomalies in permanent counter datasets
Implement changes and edits to permanent counter locations to improve modelling processes
Propose improvements to counter quality criteria
Communicate results to stakeholders with documentation and visualizations
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Product Managers to ensure data sources meet quality standards

Technical Overview

Work with geospatial data (ArcGIS or QGIS); SQL databases (PostgreSQL/BigQuery); Python or R; produce visualizations and thorough documentation to ensure data quality.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a graduate student in Urban Planning, Transportation or related Engineering with geospatial data experience (ArcGIS/QGIS), SQL and Python or R, and strong communication for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Skills
