Veeva Systems is hiring a Data Scientist for Business Consulting to transform raw commercial data into strategic insights for life sciences customers. The role involves 4–12 week analytics engagements focused on brand strategy, patient analytics, and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

Solve real-world challenges via 4–12 week analytics engagements
Translate pharmacy and prescriber data into actionable narratives
Architect scalable solutions with structured data models and reusable code patterns

Technical Overview

You will apply mathematical modeling and analytics to complex datasets such as pharmacy claims and prescriber trends. Responsibilities include data cleaning and structuring, building scalable solutions with reusable code patterns, and automating manual workflows using Python and SQL.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior Data Scientist with a PhD (or Masters with 3+ years) in a STEM field and strong Python and SQL skills. They have experience translating messy real-world healthcare/commercial data into scalable, accurate analytics that drive business outcomes like brand strategy, patient analytics, and sales operations. They can consult with business leaders to navigate ambiguous requirements and automate data workflows.
