Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect database systems optimized for Chess.com's workloads
- Build internal tooling and automation for deployment and migration
- Develop data pipelines and ETL for analytics and ML features
- Engineer multi-regional database architectures
- Build observability and performance tooling
Technical Overview
Focus on MySQL (Percona) with Python/Go tooling, data pipelines, Redis caching, Linux systems, and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi), with strong emphasis on observability and query optimization.
