About this role
The Database Systems Senior Analyst provides support and maintenance for relational databases and related tools hosting critical data for in-house and third-party applications, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support enterprisewide, missioncritical and nonmissioncritical databases
- Perform DBA activities including backups/recovery, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with application and OS teams for space, performance, security, and backup requirements
- Participate in design/implementation of new database systems and standards
- Develop SQL and OS scripts and coordinate vendor-resolved incidents
Technical Overview
The role encompasses database administration, performance tuning, backups/recovery, patching, upgrades, and monitoring, with exposure to SAP, WebSphere, AutoSys, Informatica, and data modeling within manufacturing systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior database systems analyst with hands-on experience in relational databases across Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments, including 3+ years IT experience, data modeling skills, and SOX/compliance exposure.
