  • Negotiate settlements of tanker demurrage claims
  • Evaluate contracts to determine billable demurrage to third parties
  • Analyze payable demurrage and ancillary post fixture claims payable to shipowners/third parties
  • Provide invoicing and pay instructions to the accounting team
  • Perform analytical support including root cause analysis and receivables monitoring

Performs detailed claim analysis against charter party and cargo contract terms, validating claims using voyage documents, distance tables, and vendor invoices. Produces invoicing and pay instructions to accounting and conducts root cause analysis on demurrage events while assessing intercompany charges and tracking receivables.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of industry-related experience handling demurrage claims, including evaluating contracts and negotiating settlements for tanker demurrage. They are strong in analyzing voyage documents, distance tables, and vendor invoices, and they can provide accurate invoicing and pay instructions to accounting. They also demonstrate analytical root cause analysis skills and can monitor demurrage receivables for delinquent payments.
