About this role

Deputy Engineer Mechanical ensures smooth operation of process equipment and ancillaries in the plant; acts as the link between Engineering and shift operating team. Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and lean/manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
Follow preventive maintenance schedule and record readings
Attend breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical faults
Repair gearboxes, pumps, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment
Modify AutoCAD drawings and create SOPs, conduct Job Safety Analysis

Technical Overview

Hands-on mechanical maintenance across gearboxes, pumps, lubrication, and alignment; reading drawings and BOMs; experience with LPG fired equipment and various machining tools.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical engineer with 4+ years in manufacturing, strong experience with gearboxes, pumps, and alignment, and AutoCAD proficiency. They should be capable of reading drawings, troubleshooting, and supporting preventive maintenance tasks in a manufacturing plant.
