Designer II - BGE Automation Cntrctg & Design performs less complex electric substation and transmission system design centered on Protection and Controls. The role reviews construction plans for interference, develops project documentation including permitting and right of way, and coordinates field work through approvals and field visits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform electric substation and transmission system design with focus on Protection and Controls
Review construction plans for interference with existing/proposed facilities
Determine specifications, materials, costs, customer charges, permitting, and right of way requirements
Develop documentation and provide work management system input
Execute contracts and perform field visits including minor/major change coordination

This position focuses on electric substation/transmission design using computer aided design and drafting methods, applying published standards and engineering calculations. It includes protection and controls design support, project cost/resource determination, and field location survey plotting for proposed facilities.

Ideal Candidate
