The Development Operations Engineer will manage daily system operations on GCP, troubleshoot system and network issues, and extend automation to support the platform as it grows. The role includes monitoring systems and security events, capturing operational metrics, and partnering with development on infrastructure needs.

Technical Overview

This position focuses on Linux/Unix (primarily Ubuntu) operations and automation in a Google Cloud Platform environment. Responsibilities include Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, implementing and documenting deployment/operations methodologies, monitoring with an enterprise monitoring system (strong preference for Zabbix), and supporting email infrastructure knowledge including Postfix and Mail Transport.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a DevOps/SRE-focused engineer with strong Linux/Unix systems administration experience on Ubuntu and prior professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). They have hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience using automation tooling (especially Ansible), plus strong monitoring and troubleshooting skills across networks and security events.
