Position Details
About this role
This is a full-time, salaried developmental sales role designed to train candidates into a District Sales Manager position. You will complete workshops, self-study, department rotations, and mentoring/shadowing while preparing to relocate into an assigned sales territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend monthly workshops with other DDSMs and travel regularly
- Complete self-study on sales strategies, structural design, and profitability
- Rotate through departments to learn the full product and manufacturing process
- Shadow and mentor with active District Sales Managers on sales territories
- Relocate into an assigned sales territory upon program completion with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
Technical Overview
While not a software role, the program includes learning about metal building systems, structural design concepts, and how proposals and profitability work within the sales process. You may also need to interpret drawings and specifications (preferred).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level sales or customer service professional who is highly coachable and committed to a structured 12-month development path toward District Sales Manager. They are proficient with Microsoft Office, able to travel regularly for workshops and territory shadowing, and have (or quickly build) strong communication skills for working with builders and interpreting drawings and specifications (preferred).
