About this role

Diesel Diagnostic Mechanic I performs maintenance and repair work to improve overall equipment efficiency and support safe production. The role includes completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance on process equipment, and following MSHA/OSHA and Environmental rules.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities
Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation
Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, and perform preventative maintenance of process equipment (pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, filters)
Maintain competency in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and alignment; perform equipment lubrication
Follow MSHA and/or OSHA rules, Environmental rules and regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); operate cranes safely

Technical Overview

Executes mechanical maintenance across pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, and filters with hands-on skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, alignment, and machine shop work. Qualified to operate small and large cranes and apply safe rigging practices while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and compliance requirements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level diesel/mechanical diagnostic mechanic with 2+ years of mechanical/maintenance craft experience performing industrial repair and preventative maintenance. They should be capable of completing work orders and maintaining process equipment safely while adhering to MSHA, OSHA, and Environmental rules.
