About this role
This Director role leads omni-channel, data-driven audience activations at Marriott. It combines audience strategy with platform ownership to create, govern, and operationalize enterprise audiences and enable activation across Marketing and Service touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary business owner for customer audience activation platforms (Customer Data Platform, Audience Manager, LiveRamp, Google Analytics)
- Manage and prioritize the audience platform backlog including data enhancements and feature enhancements
- Define governance and usage model for democratization, scalability, and experimentation
- Operationalize key audiences in a privacy-compliant manner and coordinate downstream activation
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across Data, Digital, Global Technology, and marketing/service stakeholders
Technical Overview
You will own and administer enterprise audience activation platforms and capabilities, including Customer Data Platform (CDP), Audience Manager, LiveRamp, and Google Analytics. The role requires privacy-compliant audience creation/distribution and governance models to support scalability and experimentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced director-level leader with 8+ years of strategic and analytically oriented experience in data activation and audience strategy. They have hands-on experience standing up and managing Customer Data Platforms (CDP)—preferably Real-Time CDP and Adobe Experience Platform—along with strong knowledge of audience/CRM functions in consumer-led businesses. They excel at unifying strategy with platform operations to deliver privacy-compliant omni-channel activations.
