About this role

The Director of Hosting Operations will maintain and optimize on-prem hosting operations for infrastructure services spanning compute, virtualization, storage, edge, and data centre/colo. The role leads a global team and managed service providers, ensuring consistent operational cadences, governance, and delivery against business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead global team to operate on-prem hosting infrastructure operational services
Own and improve Flight Deck fundamentals for on-prem team
Manage capacity, velocity, and backlog across managed service providers and GE technologists
Drive operational cadences, governance, and communication rhythm with leadership
Establish operational standards and support chargeback model and financial reallocation

Technical Overview

This role is responsible for on-prem hosting infrastructure operational services and operational model execution using the Flight Deck operating model. The director manages capacity, velocity, and backlog, drives process automation and standard work (SOPs), and oversees quality assurance and testing for internal software products and services supporting the team.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure operations leader (at least 5 years in infrastructure services and hosting) who has directed on-prem hosting operations for compute, virtualization, storage, edge, and data centre/colo services. They have strong people management skills, can lead global teams and managed service providers, and are accountable for capacity/velocity/backlog, operational governance, and reducing technical debt through standard work and process automation.
