HF Sinclair seeks a Director, IT Refining to lead strategic technology direction for long-term digital transformation across refining operations. The role drives multiyear AI and automation roadmaps, partners with refining leaders, and oversees portfolio execution with measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiyear digital, AI, and automation roadmaps for refining
Drive AI and automation use cases (predictive maintenance, digital twins, RPA, process mining)
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, enterprise digital platforms, and corporate strategy
Establish an innovation pipeline with scouting and proof of concept programs
Oversee IT portfolio execution and measurable value delivery using KPIs and continuous improvement

Technical Overview

This role focuses on AI/ML and automation in refining, including predictive maintenance, digital twins, real-time optimization, anomaly detection, and generative AI knowledge workflows. It also covers RPA and process mining, data modernization, cybersecurity, and OT/IT convergence, with strong governance through data governance and model lifecycle management and alignment to enterprise architecture and digital platforms.
