About this role
Lead and direct software engineering efforts for investment management stakeholders in an Agile environment. Build, test, and maintain secure, reliable systems; coordinate across technology and business teams; and provide production support for escalation issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within an Agile team to identify, estimate, design, implement, and test technical requirements
- Build technical solutions with focus on security and system availability
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for day-to-day operations
- Ensure team follows firm coding standards, design patterns, and documentation
- Provide production support for Level 1 and Level 2 escalations
Technical Overview
You will develop and support microservices and web services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework with REST and SOAP APIs. The role includes UI development with Angular, persistence with JPA/Hibernate and SQL across DB2/Sybase/MS SQL, and cloud/data integration with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform and Snowflake Cloud Database, plus search and caching with Elasticsearch and Hazelcast. DevOps tooling includes Jira, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, and Junit under Scrum and Agile Methodologies.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior software engineering leader with 5+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience building microservices and web services using REST and SOAP. They also have strong UI and full-stack tooling experience (Angular, Gradle, Maven) and production support capability across DevOps tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Junit) in Azure and data platforms like Snowflake.
