About this role
Semsee seeks a Director of Retail Sales to own premium growth for an assigned region by building, leading, and optimizing a team of 3–7 Regional Sales Managers. This is a player-coach role focused on recruiting, onboarding, running sales cadence, and holding the team accountable to premium targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of 3–7 Regional Sales Managers
- Stand up onboarding and training for MAP product suite, carrier appetite, and platform workflows
- Own regional written premium and translate targets into territory plans and weekly activity metrics
- Run operating rhythm: weekly pipeline reviews, monthly business reviews, quarterly territory planning
- Coach reps through deal reviews, ride-alongs, and pipeline sessions
Technical Overview
The role requires commercial fluency with Semsee MAP product suite, including platform workflows and carrier appetite intelligence, but it is not a software engineering position. Success depends on effective enablement (training and coaching) so reps can sell consultatively to retail agents.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has managed wholesale or MGA sales teams and understands how retail agents decide on placement. They can recruit, onboard, train, and coach a team of 3–7 Regional Sales Managers while translating regional written premium targets into territory plans, pipeline discipline, and an operating rhythm of weekly pipeline reviews and monthly/quarterly business reviews.
