Director of Process Engineering will lead process engineering for multiple strategic biopharmaceutical capital projects and serve as the owner-side Design Authority. The role provides technical governance and oversight of process engineering deliverables and cross-functional integration for large-scale manufacturing facility programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering effort for multiple strategic projects
  • Act as Process Engineering Design Authority with technical approval and governance
  • Ensure critical deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, cause and effect diagrams, control narratives) meet standards
  • Provide oversight and approval of A&E contractor engineering activities
  • Drive cross-functional integration and multidisciplinary design reviews for operability and compliance

Technical Overview

Owns governance for critical process engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, cause and effect diagrams, process schematics, system architecture, control narratives, and operations philosophy. Leads integration of process design with utilities, automation, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness while supporting process safety management and technology transfer.

The ideal candidate is a senior process engineering leader who can serve as the Process Engineering Design Authority for major biopharmaceutical capital programs. They bring strong experience governing critical deliverables like PFDs and P&IDs, leading multidisciplinary design reviews, and ensuring process designs align with regulatory expectations and corporate standards.
