About this role

Lead Figma's SEC reporting and technical accounting function, owning the preparation and filing of SEC reports and disclosures. Build and mentor a high-performing team while coordinating with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and leadership on complex accounting issues during growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own and lead the preparation and filing of all SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, and other filings)
Drive the review and continuous improvement of disclosures for SEC compliance
Lead technical accounting analysis across equity, stock-based compensation, debt, leases, M&A, and new accounting standards
Maintain and enhance SOX ICFR controls related to financial reporting
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team while staying hands-on during reporting cycles

Technical Overview

End-to-end ownership of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and related disclosures, focusing on US GAAP, equity, debt, leases, M&A, and new accounting standards. Strengthens SOX ICFR and cross-functional collaboration with Legal and Finance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior finance leader with 12+ years of accounting experience, deep US GAAP and SEC reporting expertise, and a track record building and mentoring a high-performing SEC/Technical Accounting team in a public company environment.
