About this role
Entry-level Distribution System Operator role focusing on basic switching, tagging, restoration during outages, and coordination with field crews under shift supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and, if necessary, acquire additional qualified resources
- Dispatch planned and emergent work under the direction of the shift manager
- Draft work requests and work orders for electrical distribution system equipment
- Maintain operating log and records
- Lead and supervise associates in restoring customers
Technical Overview
Operates distribution equipment using SCADA/OMS, handles planned and emergent work, and assists in storm restoration and outage management.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level to junior Distribution System Operator with an associate degree in engineering/tech, basic switching and tagging knowledge, SCADA/OMS exposure, and a willingness to work shift-based, onsite roles in Joliet.
