Capital One is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead the technical vision and hands-on architecture for AI-powered marketing technology. The role focuses on scaling the Marketer Hub from an MVP to a fully automated agentic orchestration system while modernizing the UI with Vue.js.

Key Responsibilities

Articulate and evangelize a bold technical vision for AI and automated code transformation
Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions
Ensure quality of technical design and implementation
Serve as authoritative expert for non-functional system characteristics
Lead end-to-end execution for Marketer Hub scaling and migration

Technical Overview

You will architect and deliver AI applications on AWS using Python, Java, and TypeScript, and implement distributed tracing for campaign attribution and troubleshooting. The stack includes Postgres, DynamoDB, vector stores such as Milvus, Pinecone, and Turbopuffer, and a migration to a Vue.js UI framework.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior-to-executive level engineering leader who has built end-to-end AI-driven marketing technology, including agentic orchestration and campaign data models. They have hands-on experience with Python, Java, and TypeScript on AWS, and can implement distributed tracing and production-ready non-functional design. They also have strong technical communication skills and have led teams through migration to modern front-end frameworks like Vue.js.
