About this role
Technical IT support role within a Florida state agency providing desktop support, Windows 10 maintenance, VOIP, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting. Involves on-site and remote support with required travel and no telework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides accurate, timely desktop computer technical work installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting computer systems for end-users
- Coordinates work with Department staff and desktop support
- Tracks issues in the department’s system
- Supports VOIP phones and LAN/WAN connectivity
Technical Overview
Hands-on IT support involving Windows 10+, hardware/software troubleshooting, networking, VOIP, and remote control tools. Uses an issue tracking system to document work; some MS 365 applications support.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level IT support analyst with at least 1 year of experience in Windows environments, VOIP, and IT hardware/software troubleshooting, able to work onsite in a government setting with travel as needed.
Must-Have Skills
At least one year of experience working in an IT environment in either a field-based support capacity or a call center capacityAt least one year of experience supporting Windows 10 or newer Windows operating systems and compatible applicationsTechnical understanding of computer hardwaresoftware and networking systems and troubleshooting/problem solving skillsValid Driver’s License and possess an operational private vehicle for use in performance of daily work activitiesWorking outside normal shift/business hoursNavigate tight spaces which may involve a combination of kneelingcrawlingbendingstoopingclimbing laddersand/or reachingAbility to lift 30 pounds and move equipment
