Xcel Energy is hiring an entry-level Distribution Design Engineer to build technical expertise in a specialized area. The role supports engineering tasks such as technical documentation, supervised field oversight, project coordination, and contribution to bid/evaluation processes.

Key Responsibilities

Apply technical standards and engineering principles to limited-scope assignments
Support development of technical documentation including designs, testing, calculations, reports, standards, and procedures
Provide ongoing technical support for Operations, Maintenance, Testing/diagnostics, and Regulatory activities
Coordinate or lead project portions under direction, including research, design, equipment selection, procurement support, installation and commissioning
Support bid/evaluation processes with basic analysis and calculations and communicate across business areas
