About this role
Drive Class A CDL delivery routes to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. Ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations, maintain delivery logs and inspection procedures, and provide professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery vehicles and/or truck-trailer combinations to customer sites
- Load, secure, and unload materials safely
- Verify order details against invoice and maintain delivery logs (mileage, weights/amounts, locations)
- Perform routine safety checks including pre/post trip inspection procedures and DVIR/HOS compliance
- Provide customer service support and resolve customer concerns as they arise
Technical Overview
Perform compliant commercial driving with Class A CDL, including maintaining Hours of Service (HOS) logs and completing DVIR using hand held devices. Conduct routine pre/post trip inspections and manage delivery order verification and documentation; operate forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment as needed.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Class A CDL driver with at least 1 year of delivery driving experience and a strong safety/compliance record. They can maintain Hours of Service (HOS) logs and DVIR using hand held devices, complete pre/post trip inspections, and deliver orders accurately while providing professional customer service.
