About this role
Drive Class A CDL delivery vehicles to transport and deliver building materials to customer sites. Load and secure products, assist with safe unloading, maintain required compliance logs and inspections, and provide professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver materials to specified customer locations
- Verify order details against invoice for accuracy
- Maintain DVIR and HOS logs plus pre/post trip inspections
- Operate forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment for loading/unloading
- Assist customers with safe unloading and handle delivery concerns
Technical Overview
Operate delivery vehicles over 26,000 pounds and potentially tow trailers/vehicles as allowed, while completing DVIR and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance tasks. Perform pre/post trip inspections, maintain delivery duty logs, and use material handling equipment such as forklifts for loading/unloading.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Class A CDL driver with at least 1 year of delivery driving experience, able to safely operate heavy-duty delivery vehicles and maintain accurate DOT compliance records. They have strong attention to order accuracy and customer service, and are comfortable completing DVIR and HOS documentation and routine pre/post trip inspections. Forklift operation and basic material handling for loading/unloading are a plus.
