About this role

Senior EDI Test Engineer responsible for end-to-end test planning and execution for EDI-focused IT operations and maintenance work. The role coordinates testing across functional/integration/regression scope, manages defects, and supports UAT with federal and contractor stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Execute functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Manage defect process and report progress to Scrum and product management
  • Present demos and support acceptance and UAT
  • Liaise across business, design, development, and testing for EDI requirements and clarifications

Technical Overview

You will test EDI transactions and layouts (loops, segments, data elements) for multiple standards and healthcare messaging requirements including HL7 and FHIR, with familiarity to HIPAA. You will write and execute SQL queries to support validation, document test results, and verify fixes through retesting within Scrum processes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior IT testing professional with 5+ years of experience and advanced EDI transaction testing expertise across formats like X12 and EDIFACT. They can execute functional, integration, and regression testing; write and run SQL queries; and validate healthcare messaging using HL7 and FHIR while supporting UAT and defect management in Scrum teams.
