This role supports Amazon’s mission to become Earth’s safest place to work by implementing workplace health and safety programs. You conduct daily safety audits, perform incident investigations and risk assessments, and deliver safety training that builds a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive safety program excellence through data-driven strategies
- Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Deliver engaging safety training to promote proactive safety culture
- Advocate for associate wellbeing through communication, coaching, and reinforcement
- Assist emergency response and support care delivery in emergencies
Technical Overview
The technical scope is safety program execution: using safety data to drive continuous improvement, performing structured audits and assessments, and translating safety findings into clear narratives that influence behavior change. The role also includes emergency readiness by supporting care delivery and site emergency response.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a safety professional with at least 1 year of Environmental Health & Safety experience who can run daily safety audits, lead incident investigations, and perform risk assessments. They are a strong trainer and coach who can build relationships with frontline associates and leadership to drive measurable improvements in safety culture and associate wellbeing.
