About this role
Electrical Engineer II/III role supporting Textron Systems Sea Systems unmanned surface vehicle programs. The engineer will design, analyze, integrate, test, and support manufacturing and field efforts for autonomous vehicle subsystems and their electrical/communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design of integrated electrical and communications systems on vehicles
- Perform analysis, integration, and testing
- Contribute to concept development including prototyping and production support
- Prepare formal engineering documentation such as drawings, presentations, specifications
- Prepare and/or manage design change documentation via Engineering Change Notices/Engineering Change Proposals.
Technical Overview
Focuses on detailed electrical design of integrated electrical and communications systems for unmanned surface vehicles, including analysis, prototyping, testing, and field support. Requires strong engineering documentation, technical white papers, and engineering change control via ECNs and ECPs, using Microsoft Office tools.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate (or early-career engineer) with 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, focused on designing and integrating electrical and communications systems for unmanned platforms. They can perform engineering analysis, testing, and field support while producing high-quality design documentation and technical white papers.
