About this role
Senior electrical engineer responsible for designing and optimizing electrical systems for critical energy infrastructure, including pipelines and compressor stations. The role focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, and advanced power technologies, with leadership across projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for critical infrastructure
- Champions integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage
- Implements arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel
- Manages complex engineering projects from concept to completion within timelines and budgets
- Ensures compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems
Technical Overview
Scope includes power distribution design, arc flash mitigation, and integration of automation and energy storage. Tooling includes ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, and Simulink, with emphasis on NEC/NEMA/IEEE/API codes and PLC/HMI instrumentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior electrical engineer with an ABET-accredited degree or an engineering technology degree with PE license and at least 8 years of experience in energy-related infrastructure. They should excel in power system design, arc flash mitigation, and cross-functional project leadership, with hands-on experience using ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, and Simulink. Relocation to Pittsburgh with potential later moves to Tulsa or Houston is required.
