About this role
The Electrical & Instrument Mechanic installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment to support site operations. The role is on a 24/7 shift schedule and includes both emergency/unscheduled repairs and planned preventive maintenance, with strong instrumentation and controls fault analysis (including PLC-based systems).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance
- Install and maintain indicating, recording, telemetering, controlling instruments
- Conduct field fault analysis and circuit/mechanism troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot hardwire relay logic and PLC based systems with control logic modification
- Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System to manage maintenance results and work orders

This position covers instrumentation maintenance and control system troubleshooting, including calibration adjustments, instrument replacement/repair, and fault analysis of hardwire relay logic and motor control circuits. It also involves working with PLC based systems (control logic modification), installing and modifying control circuits, and maintaining maintenance records and parts context using a Computerized Maintenance Management System with BOM parts and work orders.

They have strong controls and instrumentation fault-finding skills, including PLC based systems, hardwire relay logic, and motor control circuits (120V to 480V 3phase), and they can run preventive maintenance using calibration and a computerized maintenance management system.
