Position Details
About this role
Contract Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspector/Expeditor role focused on planning, coordinating, and witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). You will inspect MV/HV electrical equipment, ensure documentation and acceptance criteria are met, track results/punch-list items, and help resolve nonconformances for project readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Schedule and coordinate FATs with suppliers, project team, and customer representatives
- Inspect MV/HV Breakers, Voltage Transformers, Surge Arrestors, etc.
- Track and document FAT results, record and close punch-list items, raise and resolve NCRs
- Verify final documentation is completed and approved by the customer and responsible ENG/PM
Technical Overview
Responsible for FAT scheduling and coordination with suppliers and stakeholders, including witnessing execution and evaluating functional and non-functional requirements. Ensures compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and manages test documentation, certified reports, and NCR (nonconformance) resolution.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical inspector (5+ years) with deep Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) experience, including witnessing and assessing test execution for electrical equipment. They have hands-on inspection experience with MV/HV Breakers, Voltage Transformers, and Surge Arrestors, and they understand E&I codes and standards like National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
