About this role
NV5 is hiring a remote Electrical Technical Project Manager to manage EV infrastructure commissioning and energization work on client behalf. The role coordinates Field Engineers, supports technical reviews of handover documentation, and helps drive QAQC/punchlist closure while managing budgets and monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage EV infrastructure commissioning and energization planning
- Schedule and coordinate Field Engineers witness testing for LV and MV equipment
- Review handover documentation and resolve punchlist deficiency log items
- Gather commissioning/engineering documents including arc flash studies, QAQC documentation, megger, torque and PowerDB reports
- Manage project budgets and provide monthly project reporting and status updates to clients
Technical Overview
You will oversee planning and scheduling for electrical commissioning activities, coordinate witness testing for LV and MV equipment, and support interpretation of punchlist and QAQC documentation. The position requires understanding electrical construction, customer owned electrical power equipment, arc flash studies, SEL relay functionality, and low/medium voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has an electrical education background and experience supporting electrical commissioning activities, including EV infrastructure energization, arc flash study familiarity, and LV/MV equipment coordination. They can manage project budgets and monthly reporting while coordinating Field Engineers and interpreting punchlist/QAQC documentation for smooth handovers.
