About this role
Westlake is hiring an Electrician for the afternoons shift to handle preventative maintenance and repair of plant utilities and equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, wiring panels, supporting PLC programming, reading and updating electrical drawings, and maintaining accurate CMMS records while following all safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of plant utilities
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery/equipment
- Wire new panels for revise new and existing machinery
- Program PLCs and interpret ladder logic/drawings
- Maintain accurate CMMS records and follow safety policies
Technical Overview
This industrial electrical maintenance role includes PLC programming, ladder logic interpretation, wiring and conduit/bussways/cable trough installation, and lighting system maintenance (high-intensity discharge, fluorescent/incandescent, and emergency lighting). Documentation is managed using CMMS and maintenance management software systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a 442A Electrician with strong industrial maintenance experience focused on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. They can perform electrical panel wiring, support PLC-related work, interpret ladder logic and technical drawings, and maintain work records in a CMMS. The candidate can work afternoons/continental shifts, weekends, and overtime, including tasks that require working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs.
