About this role
Graphic Packaging International is hiring an Electrician to ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance and electrical repairs. The role covers troubleshooting, installing, aligning, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems while documenting maintenance activities each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements on industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and drawings
- Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery
- Ensure electrical work complies with applicable codes and safety regulations
- Maintain maintenance log and perform shift pass down to oncoming technicians
Technical Overview
The electrician performs preventive maintenance on motors, drives, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machines. They read blueprints/schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment for reliability and uptime, and participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an industrial electrician experienced with preventive maintenance on motors, drives, PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), pumps, and production machines. They can read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment, and consistently follow electrical codes and safety regulations while working a rotating night shift.
