About this role
Electro Mechanical Technician I provides mechanical and electrical support for efficient, high-quality production of MDF boards. The role performs routine demand maintenance, participates in preventive/predictable maintenance, troubleshoots equipment stoppages, supports product change-overs, and helps implement process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical and electrical support for MDF board production
- Perform routine demand maintenance and participate in Preventive/Predictable Maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment stoppages using test equipment and controls knowledge
- Support manufacturing during product change-over and execute daily machining/electrical tasks
- Interpret and produce mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics while improving processes
Technical Overview
Industrial electromechanical maintenance focused on preventive/predictable maintenance and rapid troubleshooting of equipment stoppages. The environment involves mechanical/electrical test equipment, machining, welding/fabrication, and technical systems including high pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, automated material handling, 480vac VFD's, and PLC control logic troubleshooting, with an emphasis on reading mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an Electro Mechanical Technician I who can provide mechanical and electrical support to ensure efficient production of MDF boards. They have an applied technology associate’s degree (or equivalent industrial experience) and can perform preventive/predictable maintenance and troubleshoot equipment stoppages using PLC and VFD knowledge, while interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
