About this role
Serve as a Special Products Electromechanical Engineer supporting legacy electromechanical products for nuclear power generation and US Navy applications. You will design, develop, and maintain complex electromechanical systems for steam test facilities and flow labs, and support nuclear product qualification testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth product support and training for existing electromechanical test equipment
- Design, develop, and maintain complex systems for nuclear product qualification and testing
- Partner with Test Engineer and Special Products Assembly Supervisor to support technicians
- Manage projects from concept inception through prototyping and integration
- Use database tools to manage and analyze test data and interface with suppliers
Technical Overview
Work spans electromechanical system design and maintenance, including hands-on support of test equipment used in specialized facilities. The role leverages database tools to manage and analyze test data, interfaces with electronics suppliers, and may apply ASME Section II, III, and VIII knowledge and CAD work (preferably Solidworks).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Electromechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience designing customer electromechanical systems and supporting complex electromechanical test equipment. They can manage projects from concept through prototyping and integration, analyze test data using database tools, and communicate effectively with internal teams and international partners.
