About this role
Westlake is hiring an Electromechanical Technician to perform Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work on manufacturing equipment. The role includes PLC installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair, along with proactive maintenance of plant electrical systems, motor drives, and switchgear.
Key Responsibilities
- Write advanced A/B PLC logic program
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits
- Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interface
- Maintain/service plant switchgear and troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives
- Perform manufacturing plant electrical and electronic diagnostics repair and installation
Technical Overview
This technician role focuses on industrial controls and electromechanical maintenance in a manufacturing plant. The candidate will write advanced A/B PLC logic programs, troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits, build control circuits and cabinets with user interface, and maintain switchgear and motor drives while performing electrical/electronic diagnostics repairs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an electromechanical technician with an Associates Degree in Electronics (or equivalent training) and 3+ years of practical electronics experience. They can perform full-cycle Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work including installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair, and they can maintain switchgear and motor drives in a manufacturing environment.
