About this role
Westlake is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to perform electrical diagnosis and repair each shift, including maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic equipment. The role emphasizes PLC ladder logic programming and circuit troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, with responsibilities that may include on-call coverage and overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical diagnosis and repair on given shift
- Maintain, service, and repair electrical and electronic equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs using ladder logic
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, sketches, and schematics
- Support a safe 5S workplace and respond to on-call/overtime needs
Technical Overview
This is an industrial electromechanical maintenance role focused on electrical/electronic diagnostics and PLC support. The technical scope includes ladder logic PLC programming across Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Square D, troubleshooting electrical circuits to the component level, reading schematics/diagrams, and working with low voltages and three phase 480V (480V and below) systems.
